Our Last Week and a Half

We started a fairly reasonable home update on 2/18/08 -- ceiling in bedroom and living room scrapped, texturing and painting ceiling. We had to move out for a few days - which was fine. We counted it as a minnie vacation! Each time we went back to look at the progress we (mainly me), decided something else would be nice. So after texturing and painting over two walls, adding some personality to the fireplace and painting the entrance way, we were alittle over budget - so goes it!!!! It looks nice and it really, really, really needed to be done. Dave is has just finished updating the molding in our bedroom. We spent the weekend putting it the house back together and dusting, dusting, dusting.

Now were on to the backyard - you ask, why are we doing this if we're going to sell. That's the big question! Will we sell? So, we decided to do some of the updates anyway. Who knows we may be here for a while!

We love getting pictures and would love for our 5 wonderful children, our 4 terrific daughter-in-laws and 1 fantastic son-in-law to add some comments or posts to our blog.

Sorry, I am not any of your children but I hope it is okay if I add a comment to your blog ;)
Sounds like you guys are keeping busy all your house projects. But it is always nice to have a few updates...even if you are going to be leaving it.

My dad says hi!

So I think the smith children are slackers!!! I can't believe the lack of communication, considering how far away we live from eachother. Poor mom is trying hard! So I'll start participating. I just went to Vegas with some girlfriends and left Brayden home with the kids. It was wonderful. I had no schedule and did what I wanted, ate in peace, it was great. I love coming home to my little monsters though. They loved and cuddled my all morning. Holden got his first nose injury/black eye two weeks ago. It was bruttle. I'd leave a picture but I don't know how. Amanda help!! It was so sad. He had scrathes all over his nose plus a huge black eye. He's also had hand foot and mouth disease last week. He's a mess. But today I think he's back to normal. Parker has just started piano and loves it. He's his fathers son though and gets very frustrated if he doesn't get it prefect right away. Any advise to calm him down? I want him to enjoy it. (Holden just told me I'm a Monkey.) I'll sign off for now. Love you guys!! Karrie
