The 2009 Family Reunion has been scheduled! June 26, 2009 - July 3, 2009 at Lake Tahoe. We have reserved an eight bedroom home for that week so mark your calendars.
Grandpa surprized me with tickets to Chicago. What a treat! I was pleasantly surprized with how beautiful the surrounding "villages" are to the north of Chicago. Karrie, Brayden and the g-kids live in Wilmette which is about 20 miles north with Beautiful older homes and streets lined with mature trees and scrubs. I didn't realize it was so lush. It was alittle humid, but not bad!
We went to the movies, saw a play, went to Navy Pier, visited Brayden's
office at Northwestern (Kellogg School of Management), drove Lake Shore Dr. (beautiful), visited with one of Karrie's missionary companions, Aleth, did some drapery hanging and a few decorating projects, went shopping, paid a visit to Garrett's Popcorn Store, had Chicago Pizza, played with grand kids and in general had a terrific time.
I submitted the last of my paperwork today!!! It's official --- as of Oct 1, 2008 I will be retired!!! I know most of you will not believe this - but it's really true.
